Coaching

CNCC has a designated panel of qualified coaches. They deliver internal coaching to club members as well as providing the coaching to our external introduction to kayaking courses.

Crewe and Nantwich Canoe Club are continuously developing the structure of our coached sessions through our panel of coaches. We have actively encouraged and partially funded development of our UKCC level 1 and level 2 coaches and are supporting the training of our future UKCC level 3 coaches together with support form British Canoeing. Our coaches are actively engaged in continual development through a CPD programme.

We require our coaches to hold formal coaching qualifications, current first aid certification and child protection training in order that the weekly sessions can run.

Club Coaches, as defined in the clubs’ safety policy, are members with formal coaching or leadership qualification and who are, at the time of coaching or leading, working within their remit set out by their qualification.

Meetings

Coaches and Leaders are all invited to coaching meetings which are held at key dates throughout the year. The objectives of the meetings are to share knowledge with each other, plan future training events, hold budgetary meetings, collate ideas for events and ensure that we have a unified approach to our coached activities.
