CNCC AGM: what and enjoyable evening!
We had a great turnout for our AGM on Friday 10th November. About 50% of the club rolled up to The Weaver Primary School, Nantwich for a short AGM followed by homemade food, a couple of kayaking talks – “Around Nordkapp in Pieces” by Zoe and ?Kayaking through France on a biclye? (my title as I can’t remember the real title) by Fruit AKA Andy Fewtrell. Great food was provided by members of the club and we managed to munch our way through a large pot of Chilli non Carne, a large pot of bolognese sauce and a large Barbadian Macaroni Pie
We also had baked potatoes, salads, home made focaccia bread, a lovely cheese board and lots and lots of deserts, puddings and tray bakes. Oh and let’s not forget the Australian e-numbers (ooppps nibbles) and other nibbles. Of course there was plenty of wine, beer and soft drinks to wash it all down.
The evening was the AGM so we had a little bit of formal buisnes to deal with: reports were made by the Chairman and Treasurer and then the committee (2017) stood down and a new chairman (same old guy from last year) was (re) elected. The process being overseen by our Hon. President Terry Bloor. Re-elected was also our Treasurer Jerry Knights. Other members of the committee were elected and re-elected and we now have a full committee including a junior representative – Megan! The full list of committee members can be found on our Committee Pagewhen I get a chance to update it! We also had some great prizes for our raffle – donated by the club and its members.
CNCC would like to thank Palm Equipment for providing many of the prizes for our raffle once again this year.
Thanks everybody for a great evening and let’s hope for continued fun paddling, social evenings and any other type of fun you wish to have (privacy of your own homes).
